Business Property Agent

Our client is a Property Management and Consultancy firm that offers comprehensive and professional property management solutions to both corporate and individual clients in EAST AFRICA. Currently, our client is seeking a qualified and aggressive individual to join their team as a BUSINESS PROPERTY AGENT. This position is a Permanent Entry-Level position to be based in KIGALI, RWANDA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Present purchase offers to sellers for consideration.
  2. Interview clients to determine what kinds of properties they are seeking.
  3. Prepare documents such as representation contracts, purchase agreements, closing statements, deeds and leases.
  4. Coordinate property closings, overseeing signing of documents and disbursement of funds.
  5. Act as an intermediary in negotiations between buyers and sellers, generally representing one or the other.
  6. Promote sales of properties through advertisements, open houses, and participation in multiple listing services.
  7. Coordinate appointments to show homes to prospective buyers & present purchase offers to sellers for consideration.
  8. Generate lists of properties that are compatible with buyers' needs and financial resources.
  9. Display commercial, industrial, agricultural, and residential properties to clients and explain their features.
  10. Accompany buyers during visits to and inspections of property, advising them on the suitability and value of the homes they are visiting.
  11. Advise clients on market conditions, prices, mortgages, legal requirements and related matters.
  12. Review property listings, trade journals and relevant literature in order to remain knowledgeable about the real estate market.
  13. Contact property owners and advertise services in order to solicit property sales listings.
  14. Visit properties to assess them before showing them to clients.
  15. Solicit and compile listings of available rental properties.
  16. Rent or lease properties on behalf of clients.

SKILL & REQUIREMENTS

  1. Degree in Land Economics or equivalent
  2. A minimum of 3 years proven industry experience (Sales experience will be an added advantage).
  3. Fluent in English & French.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills.
  5. Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  6. Excellent analytical and decision making skills are a must.
  7. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to needs and demands without difficulty, strong ability to multi-task and attention to detail is a MUST.
  8. Work requires significant local travel to current and potential clients.
  9. A valid Passport.
